COACHING PHILOSOPHY
For those of you I’ve come in to contact, have current contact with, or have the fortunate blessing of coming into contact with at a later date or time, know this, I love you, and I love you for you who are.
First and foremost, for any and all that read this (especially to the parents of my students or student-athletes) know that I’m going to love each and every one of my student or student-athletes not only as if they’re my own, but as they are, their own beautiful person inside and out.
My job isn’t to spit out or regurgitate good grades or wins and losses, but more. It’s my job to culminate, build, and keep foundational relationships. It’s my job to mentor, tutor, guide, and challenge these young adults to become great, wonderful, and outstanding full-grown adults. It’s my job to highlight, appreciate, and celebrate successes of these said young adults, and never make them feel or fall privy to an inferiority or superiority complex. It’s my job to be taught and coached by them as much as I coach and teach them. It’s my job to be loving, kind, positive, and to listen. It’s my job to teach and coach, and above what you’ve read, is teaching, and coaching to me!
So, thank you for affording me the opportunity to have your son or daughter under my care and guidance.
I could give you a load of bull that I’m always great and on top of everything, but that’s exactly what it would be, but I will promise you that when a student or student athlete walks on or in my classroom, my field of play, or the hallways where daily interactions occur, I will give them my best on the daily, but I will FOREVER love and cherish who they are as people, because that’s what the world wants and needs – good people!
